The Wave of Emotion

Emotions like tides advance and retreat

but always wish for calm.

On sunny days they sway one way

and on moonlit nights another.

They are never truly home nor away

yet always somewhere in the realm.

And because there’s a thin line between love and hate —

emotions free but they also enslave;

just as a sea floats but also drowns.
