Under The Stars, Above The Sea III

all he seems to do

is write some sort of poetry

and engage in dalliance

that happy fool

with a floating boat above

is so beneath society

[Her name here] ii

no ordinary attraction

but an affinity –

that’s how it feels

when her beauty engrosses me

in the moment

and fulfils –

never surfeiting

Watertable Vault

if this be the last

you’ll ever read

from this outcast

then let it be

the seed

I plant

and when it flowers

you propagate

but only

if you relate

you see…

I bleed

and bleed

and bleed

and before I sleep

I let the thoughts seep

through

so, before you

put me back in

with the soil

let me be

the water on your table

let me flow

with no pressure

and should you want more

there’s plenty

in the vault

Roam the Street Home

warm heart

soft womb

sweet breath

flower bloom

now the days loom

and it’s almost June

please come home

soon

L.Y.G

all the attention paid you –

I sure owe no debt

and just as I accept that you left

so too should you understand

why I didn’t try to stop you

a case of the bass

all I need is bass

and soul

to turn these words

into song

this silence

hear that sound?

aren’t those the rhythms?

no?

yes?

c’mon then

let’s dance

the colour of everything else

synesthetic hues

induced by the indica

and the true blues

of a starlit night

giving clues

to the curious consciousness

which is fuel

for everything else

all the worth in the world

an individual’s value to society

is measurable only in relation

to the impact they have

on the lives of the people within it

in the same light, earth –

a tiny grain in the expansive cosmic field

is only important to life

so long as it provides sustenance

Art of Woe

art for revolution

is an age-old illusion…

but art for art’s sake – now

that’s the real order of the day

heartfelt

she let him go

thinking he’d waste her time

not knowing he was the only one of his kind

she’d ever come to know

and it worked for a while –

others wanted her

and she enjoyed their advances…

but only he

could make her heart smile

and only with him

was she ever truly in the comfort…

those were her own words –

heartfelt
