Living is Feeling

touch the soil

feel the earth

let an ant crawl up your shin

look up at the sky

see that bird fly?

touch a tree

how gentle are the leaves?

all those living things

is it not amazing?

notice how you breathe

without even thinking

you see!

you’re more than a machine

To me this is what it means to live in “now”. To be conscious of where we are instead of thinking about the past or wondering what your future will be. If you take care of “now” and think about the causes you make then your future has a better chance of not just slapping you around. If you want to know what the causes were that you made in the past, you need only look at the effects today. Be responsible for what you do. So slow down. Look around. Let your mind take hold of where you are and think about it before you move on.
