so in fact, something you can direct,
if only you allow it first the freedom to manifest

a desired destination
Posted: January 27, 2015 Filed under: Writings by one ambidextrous... 6 Commentsyou think you know what they want
and you have a plan
you’re confident the challenge can be won
and you have what it takes
convinced you’re the one
and that’s all well and good
but then you start with the excuses
and thrive on them like food
you haven’t got the time
the nine-to-five, the baby, the partner,
family, friends, tragedy, fatigue,
any and every thing
you haven’t got the strength
or the inspiration
but tomorrow or some day soon
you’ll dedicate some time and make progress
that is what you keep telling yourself
but knowing how it’s done
won’t guarantee one does
because the road to achieving is rough
and not always a pleasant ride
but only in thinking and doing
as unified action
constantly but steadily
will you reach your desired destination

Lothario’s Peccadilloes
Posted: January 26, 2015 Filed under: Words In Imaginary Motion 4 Commentshe had no problem sharing his pillows –
which had given comfort to heads with all kinds of hairs,
different types and textures
from the black to the yellow
he played the games with care like fixtures –
almost always lucky – all it ever took were mere hellos,
a little use of flair and after that it’d be all yeahs
followed by break-ups on the morrow

Petrie’s Pyramid
Posted: January 23, 2015 Filed under: Words In Imaginary Motion 11 Commentswhat was once layered with love
and sealed with blood
became fragile and weak
because circumstances had made for a new sequence
that chipped away at their greatness
until there was little left to uncover
except small relics
