to fear institutionalized authority
is to have no understanding of the laws and conditions
their determinations and implications
and to a greater extent, even one’s own capabilities and constraints
To fear institutionalized authority
Is to recognize that no institution possesses
A body and or a being
And so also lacks
Understanding or a care
For the capabilities and constraints
Of those individuals over which its
Authority is exercised
The only power which alters
The course of an institution
Manifest when an outraged public
Calls to account
The institution’s directors
Who stood by
Allowing the institution to take
Its unfeeling path
And this power exists
Only in societies
Which fear institutionalised authority
And, there you have it ~ no words needed.
