success springs from suffering

be an honest woman but never candid, even when he makes you feel you can tell him anything  free of judgement, for even when he appears not to mind the detail, he seldom forgets those impressions, despite what he does with the finds

see, a man wants to get as close to a woman without truly knowing her, for fear he’ll discover she’s had similar sexual endeavours, or worse – more adventure, whatever effect that may have thus

A Scene for Saturday vii

said it had been some time since she last had a conversation half as stimulating, but her body language was telling me she wanted more than just a goodnight kiss at the end of our evening, so ostensive – it was quite obvious she was ready for action and couldn’t wait for me to get her out of her dress

she burned the incense but just as well not the chocolate cake she’d baked, poured a couple glasses of good Shiraz and even played for me a few strings on her guitar to some Ed Sheraan tracks

so the scene was set and you can just imagine what happened next…
when she said I was in need of a muse to inspire the series!

you ll meet many men who claim to know because they have it on good authority

but know that accepting information second hand without investigation or thinking the matter out for yourself will never give you surety or verification

Poems, Charms & God’s Vineyard iv

the flowering of love is time dependent

it can be instantaneous
or it can be a long road like the stalk…
or even broad-spread like the frond of kelp

but a seed I sowed – as does every man
trying to stay balanced under pressure
as a capillary column of water balances the ocean
in a hydrostatic paradox

so I wait for it to spring
and surface
hoping to see the beauty of her face
and feel the comfort of her breast and kindness

still, the flowering of love appears subtle to the eye
that is why I’ll remain steadfast and wait to watch it germinate in a time-lapse

a matter of movement

life is a movement offering man choice among many different lanes, upon which to travel, experience and explore

some man-made and grand like Rhodes’ railroad or Lesseps’ oceanic highway
and others that are seemingly in nature’s hand, such as the synaptic pathways in your very brains
which allow for your minds’ thought trains and sensations, illusions and imaginations

so regardless which route you take, it is all in aid of universal consciousness

Rhapsody no. # iv

sing to me a song
the way only a queen from the motherland can
with that sweet thunderous voice that brings the rain

touch my soul and effleurage my mind with that soothing vibration
for I see nothing wrong with living in your elation

Title Trial

Ladies and gentlemen of titles and style
the commoners ask you to walk in their shoes for only a mile.

In exchange they will attend your recitals
and visit the safe havens where it’s rumoured they’re no taxes to file.

Men of business and women of bile
the the toilers ask that you labour, even for a little while
so they can in turn balance the books and beguile.

You see, they envy your lives, so perhaps you ‘ll find theirs too a fun trial.

a misleading man needs no middle man
and may not act now, in the same manner he did then.

so watch what he does, always if you can
and never assume again.

Mainstay Minutes

I realise that if I die tomorrow, I’ll be forgotten by year-end
and should I be granted another decade, the words may just be framed and placed next to someone’s night stand

but if my beloved, dear and kind friend death so chooses, and allows me to get old and grey
then for my generation, I’ll be the mainstay
