Lust Forever V

You keep saying you want this and that as though expounding on some theory of the leisure class…. All I want to know is if it’s me you really want?

Do you have to go all Thorstein Veblen on me, babe – of course I want you and I – I want us to have our cut in this technocracy… otherwise what do you think will happen to our children, huh?

All I need is you. Am I not enough?

Alas! Why ask me such… please don’t fuss…

No buts. Am I not enough?

You have my heart. You’re too curious. Don’t you see even infinity is not enough?

Shona Madonna

Mother said:

I named you after Melchizedek, my son
He was the priest and king of Salem – now Jerusalem
If you don’t understand that’s no problem, some day you will, one day you’ll rule
Without recognisable ancestry, just a great mind and personality
And the founding fathers will need you
And even revere you as Abraham did Him and pay tithes too
I spoke those words unto my womb
And blessed the milk upon my bosom

Black on Blue

whittle away these delicate blues
that appear as celestine

then unite my peoples and have them see clear
their impending fate should they continue internecine feuds

a case of the chase

what is it you chase?
this, that, the other… perhaps a blend

is it wealth, title or brand
for those too may have noble ends but do in fact realise
that even to invest is the same as to spend
as much as to lend

Note on Love

Love’s exchange value depends on the amount of time one freely gives over instead of expend alone. In the case of genuine love, one gives up their ego, that is self, to another who manages its reputation in their stead. As for universal love, it is not one who spends the time but the fact of it being experienced that is paramount!

weather the wave of invective
without being defensive
and never lose sight of your motive
to be assured a seat in the office of the elective…

A Writer’s Work on A Woman VI

to have a sister’s presence in a man’s life is a great blessing and if she is of gracious character, this gives her brother the greatest of all lessons necessary if a man is to ever truly give a woman the chance and fully appreciate her importance; especially when he is offended upon possible encounters with the few who may be said to not represent womanhood as well, or are considered less than the highest of all existence – which most women dutifully represent and worthy to be called

small minds confronted with that which is beyond their understanding
develop an inferiority complex

but great ones are instead inspired
for they thrive on being presented new problems to address
as challenges can only lead them to conquest

motives are compounded emotions
and unless they are unravelled
they will not only move but also consume you
