all there is of truth, for most, is what they believe

Although… it’s tempting to say
All there is of truth is what we believe
Yeah. Actually, that works better for me. ; )
Oh dear. You’ve struck one of my favourite topics of public ruminations… <chuckle>
I’m not big on “truth”. On the other hand, I am big on speaking “truly”, though speaking thus doesn’t require anyone to “know” anything.
People who claim to “know” things make me nervous. Objective absolutes downright scare me. People who wield “truth” like a scimitar make me want to move into a tiny house somewhere well off the grid.
All these conditions begin to happen when people elevate ‘truth’ to anything more than belief.

Completely agree with you man:
*People who claim to “know” things make me nervous
*wield “truth” like a scimitar – learnt something
And those “truths” will abide in some even after the proof show differently!
