S: close-fitting clothes are the new fashion my love, the latest in urban chic, just try them on – see how you feel
CH: why would I want to constrict… I’m not taking the risk… what’s wrong with ones I’ve always worn?
S: c’mon, don’t be a prick… it’s just something to adorn…
CH: I’m sure that’s what Edward Gibbon thought – if only he’d known
S: Gibbon, the historian? what a fatuous comparison!
CH: Maybe… still, he did die of a swollen scrotum
S: gosh! you’re so difficult at times, okay let’s go and find you something less deleterious
CH: all for that! let us…

truthfully I cannot remember, it must have been in one of the thousands of books I’ve read… most times I’m just as surprised when I remember details as such. my mind seems to somewhat recollect when I need a metaphor or something to base a comparison on. I’ll tell you another secret – I would not even remember the author names of say the last five books I read. I read multiple books at once – at times more than ten contemporaneously – a few pages here, a few there and mostly academic books.

Wow! I figured you were a fellow intellectual, but way out of my league. Very impressive.
