if you ever write another one
telling of the things that we have done
I will thrust a hairpin through your tongue
just as Fulvia did to Cicero’s…
whatever I have to do to silence you so that you remain unsung
and I will continue to criticize you with such vitriol…
HIM:
is that all?
HER:
yes, done!

Had this discussion with my Her this week. She was slightly less threatening…

Now that made me laugh. I love the image of the hairpin through the tongue, and I think Fulvia must have been a very nasty lady – great classical reference. The man’s response was perfect!

Hi Heath! I’ve been very lax on WP for a few weeks, due to being away and coming home to find the internet connection gone! I had to resort to driving through to my daughter’s house in Lincoln last week, just to catch up on a few bits. Anyway, I enjoyed reading your post. 🙂

Hey Millie, I totally get it, I’ve been so inundated with work and haven’t had time to really browse either, so really appreciate you staying in touch 🙂 From the pics on your blog I can see you’ve been up and about, making the most of the bit of summer you guys got left. Hope work on the third book is progressing well too and that you have a great weekend 🙂
