Sketch for a Theory of Persistent Passions iii

in your mind
now you’re questioning what we’re about
questioning our love
all of a sudden I don’t give you enough of my time
… insinuating that it’s not all about the art
how ironic that you think we should have some time apart
don’t you see you’re only allowing them room to get closer
haven’t you realised it only has meaning when I’m in it with you
can’t you tell they’ve never had me the way you do…
and as far as the art goes
I’m sure in time you’ll discover that it was never lost

Sorry. My comment submitted before I could finish typing. Lol.
Ah, the life of an Artist…an Artist in a RELATIONSHIP, that is. This honestly reminds me of Dwele’s song “I’m Sorry”
I’m Sorry (Wake The Musical Baby): http://youtu.be/rRM-RPswgKk
And it’s so funny that the title of this piece is “Sketch for a Theory of Persistent Passions iii” and the name of Dwele’s album the above song is on is called “Sketches of a Man.” Great piece, as usual. The yearning for the lover to understand the Artist. Sigh. Xoxoxoxo

I been listening to Dwele since Rize 🙂 Some Kinda is my favourite though… that’s so cool that you listen to Dwele… I even went to Manchester, England to watch him and Angie Stone once xoxo

How cool! My favorite album is….hm dare I pick one? Ha, ha. All of them are so good. I really like Subject and Some Kinda…I feel those two albums are connected. Like Some Kinda is a continuation of Subject. I want to see him live so bad one day. And that’s saying something because there aren’t many people I’d really go see live. Most of the people I adore are long gone (Aaliyah, Michael Jackson, etc.) But I’d love to see Dwele, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, Amel Larrieux, The Floacist, etc. Back to Dwele’s albums….Unfortunately I never got to hear Rize before. I can’t find it anywhere. Wasn’t that his very first album BEFORE he got famous? 🙂

I totally agree, Subject and Some Kinda have those epic interludes. I like Amel’s Ice Cream Everyday too. Pretty much all the ones you mentioned 🙂

^_^ Awesome! For Amel, my favorite song is “Make Me Whole” and when she was with Groove Theory, “Didja Know” and “Ride” are my favorites.
