People & Purpose

To any man of action, the activities of fellow beings, who of course constitute society, are as vital as the air that gives life. They inform his decisions and become the basis, and sadly often the pabulum, of his ideas in their totality. They are also the material of his thoughts and efforts, which if he had to go without, he’d lack inspiration, drive and purpose, however effective or meaningful.

  1. Oh man… “pabulum”…! I had to look it up… ;(
For once I disagree. The others (society) help us keep our sanity but I DON’T think they are our inspiration or drive or purpose. (With the exception of those who are close to us… But do they count as “society” the way you mentioned it?)
