Mulberry Grove

it was just us
in god’s vineyard
an idyllic locus amoenus
perfect for lovers
and where we laid on the grass
making love for hours

inspired by nature’s tenderness
and passion’s powers
that i even penned a love locus classicus
rhythmic, euphonious

Most protectionist arguments are often centred around the study of one or just a few industries, and the demagogues do their best to direct the people’s reasoning towards that limited scope, by all means avoiding comprehensive analysis of entire sectors, but instead drawing unsubstantiated conclusions meant to appear elaborate and all encompassing.

A Theory of the Mortal Stock

lust, Sisyphean tasks, living life fast
all these activities I’ve seen many take part in

not because I concern myself too much with what anyone else does
but since I keep a watchful eye on all that crosses my path
such observations I’m bound to make, alas!

the past, social masks, feelings of mistrust between different casts
all these have been part and parcel of the lives of human beings since the beginning

to unsettle dust, to fight and fuss
the notions of them v us
acts of peace forsaking
everything aghast!

The Launch

when mind and body work in unison
and effort is sold or put forward in view of a return-favour
that amounts to labour
and production is born

Strictly Treacly

there’s a heart shaped locket around your neck
but beneath your breast
beats
the rhythms of your soul

your moves make me believe love can exist
beyond the borders of my bed
and on the other side of these lust sealed walls

so when love is this freeing
there can be no holding back

only staying forever in the moment
giving my all
even treacly poems

Flames of Passion

if you choose to run the race
there’s a chance you might tire
the moment reward is out of sight

but should you continuously work at a pace
little can stand in the way of your vision or put out your fire
once passion is alight

Dawn

instantaneous
like a parametric process

our attraction
a flame like the fire at dawn
Rayleigh scattering

yellow orange thighs
honey gold mangoes

fresh as daylight
your smiles – beautiful, sun-kissed
morning glows

The Last Sentence

imagined literary bliss
a magnus opus for noble status
and maybe even peace

literature, stellar scripts, prizes
every wish fulfilled
at last

The Home of Heuristic Hymns

to think or not to
thought is still involved

awareness too is self unbeknownst…
which means presence never belongs

nonetheless development remains the first initiative
one ought to take

rights and wrongs come thereafter
for you can only blow the candles once you’ve made the cake
