All Over Again

So glad you came
Mountain views at dawn are always grand
When I’m next to you

Started off with a little conversation
But we both knew where it’d end
In my bed

Can’t get enough of you

Northpine No.9 (continued)

Let’s lay bare…

Nothing but the naked truth

We’ll have to play fair

And go over everything with a fine-tooth comb

Find the self-confidence to show me your imperfections

Trust, I have more and then some

Swing by and I’ll fix a cuppa chai and black molasses brew

I know they’re your favourite two

We can even roll up that good good

I know you’d like that too

Come over and let’s talk things through

I bet we’ll make a breakthrough

As long as we keep our intentions pure

The Home of Heuristic Hymns ii

How ignorant are the men who decide to put one among them in a power position, only to complain when he exercises authority to make decisions with the consent he was given. But then again, who am I to judge them when clearly they furnish my fecund imagination with material time and again.

It also appears to me that often we are free in asking questions yet bound in giving answers. So to settle the question of taste, simply give man a choice. His interests will be reflective of his disposition.

Concerning aims, with each sentence I try to express the most important thing by providing insights that explore the uncommon sense, and which if understood in depth, should read like Howard Marks’ Oaktree memos. And for better comprehension, I’ll continue bequeathing to you the contents of my brain through these heuristic hymns so that whosoever wills can discern.

Food for thought to the enquiring. A helping hand to the reader, woman or man, sorta like what Robert Lawrence Kuhn is to the Chinese government or what Gary Hersham of Beauchamp is to the billionaire who wants to buy the biggest estate, except here there are no agent fees, only a slight tax on your thinking, but all for your benefit, or at least that’s the intention.

Sketch for a Theory of Persistent Passions (v) – The Finale

That which is final can’t be finite since it’s impossible to conclude the examination of our ultimate objectives; seeing as the very defining of a motive is a negation due to the fact that raison d’être is always subject to the environment of its formation. Also, a thing outside the frame of thought, that which is tangible, is still a vital part of the whole and although a fragment can be distinguishable from entirety, the whole is not discoverable without reference to the part; just like personality is an expression of character, which is the mould of habit and one cannot expect to fully understand another’s persona outside the context of their activities.

A Matter of Mind

Will power is the most potent tonic, while peril pesters those possessed of petulance, says logic.

Till the plot before sowing if you wish to harvest a good crop, and whatever you attempt… make a good showing before the motion grinds to a stop, says reason.

Certainty comes at a high price but happiness is the harmonious balance between man’s character and his circumstances, says common sense.

Dearth of the Didactic

Avoid becoming like the vacillating man who is always at the mercy of the opinion of the demagogues he comes across.

Rather, be true to the best you know and strive through observation and study, to think independently by having a healthy indifference to the ideas, interpretations, and suggestions of popular bodies.

Be respectfully unafraid to form your own convictions, and when you have clarity of vision and an adequate understanding of your position and potential; when your grand purpose is indelibly impressed on your mind, dare to act and don’t hesitate!

Scramble for the Sahara

If Masayoshi Son could lose 70 billion and still go on to set up a 100 billion dollar fund, then poor me, who has lost some land can hope to – in coming times – have influence over the entire Taoudeni Basin.

You reckon…

At least that’s the plan – to be as powerful as Son and Mohammad bin Salmon all in one.

Oh well, what is the future, if not the fill of fantasy and the outcome of actions inspired?

Forward is where my sights are set since only the individual can impose limits on their own possibilities, fact?

And you were never that sorta guy, I attest…

True, if I don’t die, I try… and on my laurels I never rest!

The Crest

There is no predestination about success
And it takes one a good many dreams of fortune before they can make an actual dime
But if you have fixity of purpose
And conditions become favourable in time
The stars will align and bless – you’ll realise that without patience and effort you’d have never reached the crest

Purple Note

In a world where the words normal and acceptable are used interchangeably without distinction, it is no wonder that humankind now faces extinction.

On the other hand, reason makes clear that it is better to cede to forces of progression and accept the past cannot escape diminution, than to waste time in contrition.

The Essence of Endeavour

They all want the elixir
So they can live as long as Old Tom Parr
Forgetting that nature
Will only bestow on those that can nurture
And that to live for posterity, as a man of undying stature
One must etch youthful exuberance on life’s canvas
In the now, never later!
