art & the price of recognition
Posted: December 16, 2019 Filed under: Words In Imaginary Motion 8 CommentsA colorful creation
Or perfect picture painted
Yet only exhibited in the imagination
Remains undervalued like some obscure work in the Dokolo collection
Just another masterpiece undercelebrated
Even if in the mind’s eye every shade’s reflected
From royal red to blue like a Rothko at a Sotheby’s auction
Because only for what’s manifested
Will the artist be credited
Not for inspiration
Only that which has been created
Nice to see your work again Heath. I can relate~

Sometimes the artist likes to revel in imagined beauty unseen by other viewers.

Ah, inspiration vs creation/execution… yet, one is none without the other since even inspiration feeds on actual creation… (at least I do…)
